What is the area like?

You can go right down the the private beach area just a few steps away form your high-rise vacation villa. Bat Yam has everything to offer very close by and is just a bit quieter than the city life in Tel Aviv. You can drive north to Tel Aviv in about 15 minutes. In Bat Yam you have all the same choices for restaurants, shopping and cafes as the city but just a more laid back beach atmosphere. There are many choices for synagogues whatever your needs are; from Morraccan, Ashkenazi ans Sephardic all within a few minutes' walk of this villa.

What shall I have for lunch?

Aroma Cafe is a staple  in Israeli life. You can enjoy a great cup of coffee or order some simple by great tasting lunches or dinners here. I think breakfast is the best here with a geat cup of coffee to get you started in the mornings. Japanika is close by for asian options and sushi choices,too. You can dine in or take away back to your private balcony with the sea sounds playing in the background. Check times for sunset and spoil your self here every night. No extra charge for the sunsets!

Where can I empty my wallet?

If you ask any Israeli where can you find some good shopping spots, Bat Yam won't be their first answer, however the locals will totally disagree. Although Bat Yam never had an image of the "shopping centre" of Israel it has a few shopping jams that can definitely compete with Tel Aviv shopping.

Bat Yam Mall
This big and modern mall was actually opened in 1993 and it is one of the oldest shopping malls in Israel. It is located on the main street of Bat Yam (Yoseftal Avenue) and it's easily accessed by bus or car.
This mall is a home for about 150 shops that include major Israeli and international fashion chains, pharmacies and cosmetics shops. For those of you who like shopping - this place might take quite a few hours. But don't worry if you suddenly feel tired and need a bust of energy you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee in any of the coffee shops in the mall. For families traveling with kids, Bat Yam mall offers many entertainment shows, especially during the summer. There is also a movie theater complex at the mall.

Arts and Entertainment?

You are just south of Tel Aviv and you can make it here for many museums and archaeological sites. The Eretz Israel Museum is just north of the city near the Hayarkon Park and river or stay south for old Jaffa and the artist colony. neighboring Neve tzedek has a few museum choices and geat cafes and restaurants as well.

Let's Get Practical

Each city has local buses and taxis are available if you do not feel like walking the city. The beach is very close and a long hike can take you just south of Tel Aviv in a few minutes. There are bank branches available with ATMs for cash withdrawals in local currency at the most recent rates of exchange.

There is a supermarket near you so ask if they will deliver so you can lay in for your vacation. There are two chaise lounge on the balcony as well as  a BBQ so make sure you pick up everything you need for a nice leisurely cookout with your friends and family.
