Ideal for short term rental in jerusalem What is the area like?This is a very quiet neighborhood near the German Colony. There is a mall very close by for many choices of cafes, restaurants and shops. there is a super market only 5 minutes away which will also deliver your goods for your stay here. Thee is plenty of off street parking available. You can catch one of several buses to the city or take a nice leisurely stroll to the old city in about 30 minutes. What shall I have for lunch?On Derech bethlehem there are many cafes, restaurants and coffee shops or make your way to the German Colony for some very trendy places. Where can I empty my wallet?If you cannot find a place in Israel to empty your wallet..You ain't shopping hard enough. The German Colony, the Ben Yehuda pedestrian Mall, Mamilla Mall at the Jaffa Gate and many more places full of arts and crafts, local designers and artisans. Let's Get PracticalAll bank branches have ATMs where you can use your credit card to receive shekels or your currency. You can also go to anyone of several cash kiosks for a cash exchange using your credit cards. Ask about any additional fees by the kiosk or your bank. All buses are very cheap and take you around the city easily or to the central bus station for trips all over Israel. Try the train to Tel Aviv for a nice leisurely 2 1/2 hour ride from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv proper. Taxis are on the streets all hours. Ask for a fixed rate or use the meter if you think it will be cheaper. Sometimes during traffic a fixed rate can be better for you.
