What is the area like? The apartment is located in a relatively quiet part of Northern Tel Aviv between the leafy streets of Jabotinsky and Nordau. The central location means that it is no more than a 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to Allenby by foot. At night the surrounding streets come alive with the buzz of people in the many local cafes and restaurants. This is Northern Tel Aviv at its finest! What shall I have for lunch? The guest will simply be spoiled for choice by the range of culinary options this area has to offer. Ben Yehuda itself has many places to eat out in to suit every wallet. A special mention must go to pizzafino located on the corner of Ben Yehuda and Jabotinsky. Eat in or take away the pizza's here are some of Tel Aviv's finest. On the opposite corner is Benedict's the most popular breakfast cafe's in Tel Aviv. It serves continental and Middle Eastern style breakfasts all day and is especially busy on Fridays. For slightly more upmarket you can jump to the quaint neighborhood of Basel Square to do lunch in any one of the cafe/ restaurants. Cafe Basel comes highly recommended. A few doors up you will find Vaniglia, a popular and extremely tasty ice cream parlor. Of course if your looking for something a little more touristy simply head down to the beach front where there is many restaurants and bars to eat and drink in. Ideal for short term rental in tel aviv Where can I empty my wallet? When fashionable Israelis with disposable income - or a sizable overdraft - go shopping, they usually head to North Dizengoff, Basel Square and Kikar Hamedina. Each has clusters of exclusive boutiques and are located close by to Ben Yehuda. The exclusive enclave of Neve Tzedek is also worth a visit if you feel like giving your wallet a workout. Here you will find local made pottery, clothing and jewellery. There are many alternatives however if this will not satiate your appetite for shopping. For the young and trendy Shenkin and Bograshov street are simply a must. For those of us who prefer having everything under one roof Tel Aviv has its very on mall called Dizengoff Centre which is on Dizengoff and King George Street. Last, but not least, for those amongst us looking for gifts and souvenirs then pop over to Shuk HaCarmel on Allenby and brave the crowds as you search for t shirts, Chamsa's and cheap sun glasses. Arts and Entertainment? If you're looking to experience some Israeli culture, Habima - Israel's national theater credited with outstanding productions since 1917 - has a wide selection of plays, many with simultaneous subtitles in English. Suzzane Dellal dance centre in Neve Tzedek is another popular place to visit. Here one can delight in the history of dance and perhaps catch a locally produced show. For those seeking fun in the outdoors, rent a bike and head to Hayarkon Park, Tel Aviv's Central Park, where you can also find the Sportek - a huge outdoor sports complex offering soccer fields, basketball courts, rock-climbing and even trampolines.
