What's in it?This is a great short term rental in Jerusalem. If you are looking for rentals in Israel; this is it. This large two bedroom apartment is full of color and decorated very nicely. What is the area like?Again! I cannot stress how quiet this neighborhood is but within two minutes of some of the best cafes and restaraunts the city has to offer. You can choose ice cream to coffee to steaks to middle eastern cuisine. A walk away from the neighborhood will give you hours of sight seeing through the neighborhood and picking out which house you would like to buy when you decide to move here. jerusalem has some of the best designed streets with cafes, trees and parks all along the way. Walking is the best way to get around in Israel and Jerusalem is a walker's paradise. What shall I have for lunch?Tal Bagels is the only kosher branch in the country. Apart from its super fresh bagels baked every morning on the spot, we offer a varied range of main courses - such as quiches and lasagna - alongside excellent coffee and of course delicious desserts. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the restaurant is perfect both for a meal or a quick coffee and cake. And if you'd rather stay home, they will be happy to deliver to you! They also cater private or business events. Where can I empty my wallet? The German Colony has many local owners and artisans for your delight. You can find everything from jewelry to judaica. In these exclusive upscale shops prices are typically fixed but if you like to haggle find your way to the Jaffa Gate and the Arab Shuk and bazaar. Stern‚ Nike‚ Nautica and Tommy Hilfiger‚ as well as local brands like Castro‚ Renuar, Ronen Chen and Steimatzky Books including wide selection of Coffee shops and Restaurants such as: Café Rimon, Café Café, Roladin and Aroma. Arts and Entertainment? The Yad Vashem Museum takes a recent horrific event in the lives of the Jewish people and commemorates it in a way that will leave you in awe and wonder with a new determination for life. It is a must see to understand the struggle of a people and their attempt at religious identity in a land and a world that often looks down on the State of Israel. A day's trip by car will bring you to the Dead Sea, Matsada, Ein Gedi Springs Waterfalls and Kumram. A day trip will take you all of 9 or 10 hours and is easily accessed from Jerusalem on highway one. If you look at your map you wil find Ein Bokek which is the hotel zone in the Dead Sea region. At this area you can shop for dead sea products, try McDonald's for lunch or just float in the waters at the public beach area. Now work your way back to Masada and decide if you want to walk up or take the cable car to King Herod's famous summer hide away. Moving on back towrds Jerusalem you can catch Ein Gedi and Kumram and relax now and enjoy the short ride back to the modern world as you leave the Dead Sea and its many years of history behind as did the likes of King Davd, and King Herod.
