What is the area like? This luxury home is located in the historic Maronite Quarter in Jaffa, within minutes walk of the Old Port, Clock Tower and the Jaffa Flea Market. One of Tel Aviv's top humus kiosks, Ali Karawan is located on Dolphin Street, around the corner from the home. The number 10 bus on Yefet Street will take you to the Carmel Market and central Tel Aviv within minutes.Enjoy local ice cream bars like " Victory" and "Andrei", and walk to famous eateries such as Pua, Dr Shakshuka and Yaffa Cafe, all located just a few minutes walk from the home. Local churches, mosques and synagogues are all close by.
What shall I have for lunch?Near a mosque in this ancient port city which saw the likes of ancient Egyptian Pharoahs and even biblical stars such as Jonah you will find a great grill restaurant called, Kuka. It is kosher and will start you out with some local middle eastern delacacies such as hummus and tehina. The famous Said Abulafia bakery is located across the street and has been there for many years and is a local favorite of all Isrelis. Where can I empty my wallet? The side streets here will remind you of any movie with Indiana Jones. You can shop for antiques, shoes, jeans, socks, magic carpets to modern Israeli fashions at local shops all side by side in this thousands year old city. One of my favorite local finds: Ulla! Also called the Shoe Factory on Beit Ashel Street Anat Zamir hand crafts many stylish hand bags, computer satchels and clutches. All are designed in leather and most items in the store are hand crafted by Israelis. Shoes, clothes and THE handbags. Make an outfit for your nights out in Israel. Arts and Entertainment? The Ilana Goor art museum is in the old port and there are local working museums of Judaica arts and crafts. In the evenings enjoy a glass of wine at " Yoezer Wine Bar" or ask the locals to direct you to " Margoza" a small but trendy bar where live bands might be found .
Let's Get PracticalLocal supermarkets such as "Andromeda" will deliver to your door during your stay. This location offers a true Middle Eastern experience within the ultra modern city of Tel Aviv. The home offers a safe and secure environment close to all amenities. Plenty of parking in the area for your rental car.
