What shall I have for lunch?The alleyways that lead from the Carmel Market have a good variety of home style restaurants where daily specials from the Yemenite kitchens are served. At the nearby Opera Tower you will find branded coffee shops, and for seafood specialities, try Manta Ray on the Beachfront. The beach bars also serve light meals. Where can I empty my wallet?The Carmel Market has been around for 50 years and is the best place to buy Fresh produce, local cheeses, halvah, and souvenirs. Nearby Sheinken Street has eclectic shops, boutiques and collectables. Close by you will find the flea market at Old Jaffa, about 10 minutes walk along the promenade. Arts and Entertainment?In nearby Neve Tsedek, there is the Suzanne Dallal Centre for Dance and Theatre. The Opera Tower has local movies, and on Allenby Street there are bars and dance clubs. Let's Get PracticalParking arcades are in the area and reasonably cheap. Bus no 10 has a station in the area, and the north route will have you in central Tel Aviv within 10 minutes. The southern route goes through to Jaffa, where you can get off just after the Clock Tower. Local late night kiosks will sell phone cards and there are laundromats on Allenby Street.Tiv Taam supermarket is on the corner of Allenby and Ben Yehuda, and you will find ATMs on these two streets too. Pinky's on Hayarkon Street has cheap bicycle rentals and sales.
