What is the area like?

 This is in the heart of the popular and sought after tourist area, close to main beaches, bus lines, and a good location for tourists and locals alike. A short walk down to the beach from Frishman Street and to the Tel Aviv promenade. There is a large synagogue on Ben Yehuda Street.

 

What shall I have for lunch?

 Metsada restaurant is on  Hayarkon Street and serves good food, you will find it near McDonald's. For Italian food, go to Ernesto restaurant. On Bograshov Street , head to the Thailand House for excellent Asian cooking.

 

Where can I empty my wallet?

Shopping is easy in this area, with many local arts and crafts, galleries , antique dealers and souvenir shops along Ben Yehuda Street.

 

Arts and Entertainment?

 Near Dizengoff and Frishman Street there is a local theatre. English subtitled movies are found at the " Lev Dizengoff " cinema at the Dizengoff Shopping mall. Most cafes and restaurants also offer late night cocktails and for night clubbing check out Allenby Street  on the weekends.

Let's Get Practical

 Laundromats, ATMs, change kiosks are all found on Ben Yehuda Steet. Roaming taxis operate on all main roads, and the number 10 bus from Ben Yehuda can take you to the Carmel market and onto Jaffa.
