What is the area like?

You cannot stay any closer to the beach than this sea side apartment. You have stunning views and easy access to the fun parts of north Tel Aviv and the beach area. You are near the Carleton Hotel and the Marina Hotel between the Hilton and Gordon beaches. You are close to the Colloseum and the famous and exclusive club; Rusty James.

What shall I have for lunch?

Cafe Masada is located on Hayarkon Street and overlooks the sea and is known for its good food. You can choose from "shakshuka" for breakfast which is a middle eastern delight with eggs, garlic and spicy tomato sauce. You can wait until lunch and try salads such as the cesaer with chicken which is very good. Or just stop in for a "cafe hafouk".

Tzal Hayam is located further down the boardwalk and has great middle eatern salads and fresh baked breads. You can also find the best american style hamburger here on the menu.

Where can I empty my wallet?

The Dizengoff Center is a short walk along the avenue through a very nice neighborhood. You can find all the local and international shops here for your choices of Israeli street wear and beach wear. You can choose from TNT, Fox or Castro Fashions.

You can also make your way to Sheinkin Avenue which is down Ben Yehuda to Allenby Street and you can find lots of fun and funky shops here. There are many local Israeli owners and artisans here with fashions and judaica. You can choose from shoes to handbags to t shirts. You can also find some great restaurants and cafes here to people watch. Sheinkin Avenue is a great place to come to on Friday afternoons. It fills up and tables are hard to find but there are fun things to do all night long and people to see.

Arts and Entertainment?

 Eretz Israel Museum This museum focuses on the history and culture of the land and has exhibits in archaeology, folklore and traditional arts and crafts. You can learn for example how wine, oil and flour were manufactured traditionally. In the center of the museum complex rises Tell Qasile, one of the most fascinating and important archaeological sites in the Tel Aviv area. Two pottery shards from the First Temple period with Hebrew inscriptions were discovered on the hill.

Let's Get Practical

Buses and cabs are easy to find and a cheap way to get around the city. The number 5 bus goes up and down Ben Yehuda to the Hilton Hotel and all the way to the central bus station You can walk to the beaches from this apartment to the boardwalk that connects all of the beach front areas. ATMs are easy to find at most bank branches and will give you shekels at the most recent rate of exchange. Car rentals are located on HaYarkon near the Isrotel Hotel. You can also pick up the car at the Ben Gurion Airport.
