What's in it?

This holiday apartment in jerusalem is a turn of the century arab style home. It has been remodeled and refitted with everything you need for a stay in the Holy City. This vacation rental in jerusalem is one larger bedroom with a window offering great light from the quiet side street. In the sitting room you can unfold a bed with the most comfortable mattress. I agree! So you can easily put four people here or a family. The bed folds up and out of your way during the day as a sofa. The kitchen is fully equipped for you to cook in or bring take away back. It even has a dishwasher in mini me size. The pinat ochel is arranged around all of the light you receive from the morning and afternoon sun so that you can sit 5 or 6 people around for family lunches or dinners. A great idea for enjoying your home in Israel while you are here. Ideal for short term rental in jerusalem 

What is the area like?

This is an old neighborhood that was settled outside the walls of the ancient city of Jerusalem. You can look off your balcony to the red tiled roofs made almost a hundred years ago. Not much has changed here since that time. It is still very quiet and friendly. You can visit one of many synagogues  in the area and will probably be invited for dinner. You can walk to Machne Yehuda daily bazaar for food, fruits, veggies all brought in fresh daily and anything else you need from the more than a farmer's-market market.

What shall I have for lunch?

A short walk to the "shuk" arab for market will take you to all the tastes and smells of the middle east. You can choose from shwarma, falafel, India cuisine, or try Aroma Cafe a europen style coffee bar. At the shuk fill your bag with fresh eats for your day's adventures. An apple a day.... A further walk up Rechov Aggripas will take you to Sima's my favorite place on the street, and a local legend for its wonderfully seasoned Jerusalem Mixed Grill, which comes with chips.

Where can I empty my wallet?

THE most famous place to shop in Jerusalem is the Ben Yehuda Pedestrian mall. Here you can find many Israeli's offering their wares from around the country. You buy kipot at The Kippa Man who has a booth here for over 20 years with only kipot. Modernity has followed and tourism requires, that you can find Italian Gelatto, bagel shops, cafe chains and all else in between but a guarantee that you will find things unnique only to Israel and Jerusalem here, too.

The newly built Mamila Mall sits between the David Citadel Hotel and Jaffa Gate. They have managed to integrate the old buildings from as far back as the 1800's into this modern mall. You can find every chain including Rolex here alongside old buildings with an amazing window into Israel's past and great architecture. Mamilla mall offers international brands such as: Versace, Polo Ralph Lauren‚ Rolex‚ H. Stern‚ Nike‚ Nautica and Tommy Hilfiger‚ as well as local brands like Castro‚ Renuar, Ronen Chen and Steimatzky Books including wide selection of Coffee shops and Restaurants such as: Café Rimon, Café Café, Roladin and Aroma.

Arts and Entertainment?

The old Khan Theatre is located near the train station at the entrance to the American neighborhood of The German Colony. The Khan Theatre is the only producing repertoire-theatre in Jerusalem today and is considered to be one of the leading in the country. The theatre produces 3-4 new shows annually. The repertoire is selected by artistic director Michael Gurevitch, who also writes and directs some of the theatre's shows. Jerusalem's future and its people are shaped by its past as a land and as a people and seemingly the two cannot be separated. This is why a visit to Yad Vashem will leave you thinking about it all and how it relates to you.

Let's Get Practical

In this neighborhood buses do not run along the streets cabs do not come into this area because the streets are mostly set up for only pedestrian traffic. This is idyllic because you can walk 5 minutes to the hub of this neighborhood to Rehov Aggripas and find both along these busy streets. Take Bezalel Street straight to the highway for The Dead Sea, Tel Aviv, or to the mall. You have easy on and off access. There is street parking available to you as well. ATMs are located at every bank branch and can be found on all major streets. You are 7 minutes to Jaffa Street or King George Street. The central bus station will get you out to all locales in Israel. Tel Aviv is 45 minutes by bus or take a local bus to Canyon Malcha for a leisurely train ride as far north as Rosh Hanikrya or south to Ashquelon. Car rentals are on King David street and is only a 15 minute walk to pick up or drop off. Hertz, Budget, El Dan and more!
