the heart of Rehavia with private gardens, swimming pool and doorman walk to all the city sites and nightlife from your luxury complex
What's in it?This beautiful apartment is decorated for all your comforts. It has room for 6 guests and space to entertain friends and family with a sumptuous dinner. You have cable tv if you just want to sit and relax and look out on the manicured gardens on the terraces below. What is the area like? This complex sits off KKL Street where you can find many great cafes and restaurants in this very quiet neighborhood. Buses are on the street on Keren Heyesod within walking distance. You can walk to the Kotel, Tower of David or Ben Yehuda Pedestrian Mall all within 15 minutes. You can stay in this neighborhood and have everything at your fingertips and never leave the two blocks surrounding your apartment. What shall I have for lunch?Walk along KKL Street and the choices are yours to choose. On Keren Heyesod you will find Cafe Joe a great place for breakfast or lunch or just a good cup of coffee. There are many other places along the way to the pedestrian mall such as shwarma, the middle east answer to the greek gyros. Try it a little spicy by asking for " ketzat chareef." Pinatis is on the corner to Ben Yehuda and King George Streets, they have the best hummus and pita bread. Sit and watch the people coming and going to the best "fast food" hummus and falafel stand in Jerusalem. Where can I empty my wallet? The Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall has local shop owners and artisans offering their wares at great prices. Walk to the end of the street all along Jaffa Street to the Jaffa Gate and you will find the daily Arab Shuk and bazaar. Here you can haggle and get the best deals on everything from magic carpets to judaica. Get lost in the alleyways and you will see some great local food stands frequented by the local sellers. You will feel like you have walked into someone's home and you are their honoured guest. Arts and Entertainment? The Wall Tunnel tour is amazing. What is now far underground was once open to the sky. You will see "Wilson's Arch" - part of the support for a bridge connecting the Temple Mount to the Upper City, along with large halls from different periods, including one that was perhaps the Jerusalem council meeting room or city archive from the Hasmonean period. Water channels, and the largest block of stone used in constructing the wall are also visible. Models and an audio-visual display enable visitors to understand the various sites. Let's Get PracticalYou are near everything but far enough away this is a haven in the city. On one side you have tree lined side streets and on the other you have a monastery. You can walk to the street and find buses to the city center or to the central bus station to get you to all parts of Israel or to the train station to go north to Rosh Hanikrya or south to Ashkelon. Cabs are cheap and easy to find on all streets at all hours. The city closes on Friday afternoons until Saturday nights when you can find everyone hanging out on the pedestrian malls people watching and catching up and making plans for the next week.
