What is the area like?

This is an amazing part of the city. Dizengoff Street is the nexus of this Tel Aviv neighborhood. It has tree lined streets and shops and cafes all along the way. The walk to the beach will be as enjoyable as the view from one of the two balconies. It is located in the triangle of green avenues called Dizengoff and Alozerov streets. You will have a different cafe and restaurant to choose from each day. You will save money on cabs because you will want to walk along the streets to see the beautiful homes and architecture in the area on the way to the beach and the promenade that connects The Hilton Beach area all the way south to Old Jaffa.GET out and walk. You will thank me for it.

What shall I have for lunch?

You can walk along the promenade to Tzal HaYam which offers Mediterranean style lunches and dinners. The best American style hamburger is offered on the menu here, too. For a special treat try the Mediterranean salads and fresh breads.
"Ali Karawan" is around the corner and is one of Tel Aviv's most famous hummus places. In the Jaffa Flea Market, try "Pua" for local Israeli style home cooking, or for excellent steaks and meat, "Charcouterie". For something more typical, head to "Dr Shakshuka" near the Jaffa Clock Tower

Where can I empty my wallet?

While walking through this beautiful neighborhood find your way to Israel's daily bazaar, called Shuk HaCarmel. Its open market stalls will invite you with local breads, pastries, and selections of souvenirs to take back home. You can also stock your fridge here with exotic delicacies from around the world. A walk to Old Jaffa south along the promenade will take you to another shuk where you can find everything from nargilahs to magic carpets. There is also a large selection of antique stores to browse in Old Jaffa. The Dizengoff Mall has all the high street stores found in Israel such as; Castro and "Hamashbir" department store. Head down Bograshov Street for some trendy vintage style clothing shops.

Arts and Entertainment?

Both the Reuven Rubin and Chaim Bialik museums are a short walk away on Bialik Street. Enjoy Rubin's collection of oil paintings or gaze on Chaim Bialik's great selection of manuscripts and poetry in his home left exactly as he had left it when he died.
Ilana Goor has a museum and gallery in the Old Port in Jaffa and for an evening drink try "Yoezer Wine Bar" near the Clock Tower. There are excellent fish and seafood restaurants open in the evenings on Kedem Street.
Ben Gurion House on Ben Gurion Boulevard is worth visiting, and you can take a free English tour of old Tel Aviv on a Saturday morning from Rothschild Boulevard.
